Week 7 - Networking and Dice Rolling
While I was away this week I thought it would be the perfect time to have a look into the networking that I wanted to add. Following a course I had bought previously, I got a setup working that allowed me to start a game on one copy of the game and and join it with another. This took quite a bit of time to get set up and working somewhat nicely, however there is still more work to be done on it as it turns out 2 copies on 2 different machines doesn't work.
During this week I also worked hard on trying to make a physics based dice. I was hoping to make one that could be moved with a mouse and flung around the baseball field and maybe knock the little players over like in some other board game videogames I've played e.g. Monopoly. This however had me stumped however as after a lot of work I still couldn't get it working right. It turns out that next week I have a game Jam to be doing so I will be picking up on this mechanic the week after to try and fix it.
